Age Requirement
Typically 18 years or older, unless a specific program allows younger participants.
Diagnosis / Focus Area
Individuals with IDD (Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities).
Some programs may also accept those with mental health diagnoses who need support.
Level of Independence
Must be able to participate safely in semi-independent or group living settings.
May require some self-care ability or willingness to learn.
Behavioral Considerations
Must demonstrate ability to follow basic safety rules and program guidelines.
Aggressive or unsafe behaviors may require additional assessment before acceptance.
Funding / Insurance
Must have KDADS approval, Medicaid, or other applicable funding, depending on the program.
Scholarships or special programs may have exceptions.
Commitment
Must be willing to actively participate in programs, workshops, or day services.
Programs require consistent attendance and engagement.
Location / Residency
Must reside within the service area (e.g., Kansas or specified counties).
A supportive, family-style living arrangement where individuals reside in a private home with a trained host provider. Services include: 24/7 supervision and support Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Medication assistance (within scope of non-medical supports) Meal planning and preparation Community engagement and social skill development Health and safety monitoring Transportation coordination
Our semi-independent living program supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing safe, affordable housing with individualized supports that build daily living skills, confidence, and long-term independence.
Our Family Teaching Model provides individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities a supportive, family-style environment where trained caregivers teach daily living, social, and coping skills through consistent guidance, positive reinforcement, and individualized support.
Our residential group homes provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities a safe, structured, and supportive living environment with 24/7 supervision, personalized care, and skill-building to promote independence and community inclusion.
Our day services program supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through structured activities, life skills training, community engagement, and vocational development that promote independence and meaningful daily living.
Financial management support to ensure basic needs are met and funds are used appropriately. Services include: Management of Social Security and benefit payments Budgeting and financial planning support Payment of rent, utilities, and essential expenses Monthly financial reporting and recordkeeping Coordination with Social Security Administration
Safe and reliable transportation to support independence and community access. Services include: Medical and behavioral health appointments Employment and vocational activities Community programs and social outings Essential errands (grocery, pharmacy, banking)
